Encourage Tomorrow offers college preparation and career readiness programs for participating students enrolled in Intermediate and High School. The programs are designed to cultivate higher ambition through exposure to and preparation for higher education or, leading to career-oriented young minds.
This focus on education is aimed at the many students who are the first in their families to pursue college. The programs foster self-awareness and self-esteem, and encourage active participation in life-planning and goal-setting. Direct work experience and internships are arranged with local businesses to allow students an opportunity to apply their newly-learned skills from the program.
Our College and Career programs are intended to guide students to answer their own life questions, including:
- WHO AM I? (realizing one’s identity as a young adult)
- WHERE AM I GOING? (choosing life goals)
- HOW DO I GET THERE? (following a path of education to achieve one’s goals)
The curriculum was developed by the California Department of Education and is offered a variety of formats depending on. The formats include:

A parent strand helps families understand the college application process and how to support and encourage their college-bound students.
A shorter version of our College and Career Readiness programs, our in-school programs prepare high school students for post-secondary education and careers.
These programs complement students’ daily school schedule and are held during classroom time.
